Photocopier and printer leasing
Photocopier leasing, explained. Or skip the lease.
How copier and printer leases work, what they really cost and what to check before you sign. If a lease isn't right for you, rent a Konica Minolta from us from £10 a month, with no finance agreement.
The basics
How photocopier leasing works
A copier lease is a finance agreement. A finance company pays for the machine, and you pay it back over a fixed term, typically three to five years, often billed quarterly.
Toner, servicing and repairs usually sit in a separate service agreement with the dealer, charged for every page you print. This is often called the click charge.
So most leased copiers come with two agreements, two sets of terms and sometimes two different end dates.
Ending a lease early usually means paying a settlement figure for the payments that are left. Many agreements also renew automatically unless you give notice in a set window.
Prices
What photocopier leasing really costs
There is no honest single price for a copier lease. It depends on the machine, the term and the dealer. What you pay is made up of:
- The lease payment for the machine, for the whole term
- A charge for every black page and every colour page (the click charge)
- Any minimum charge, paid even in months you print less
- Any yearly price rises the service agreement allows
- Costs at the end: settlement, collection or a new agreement
To compare quotes, add these up over the whole term and divide by the pages you print. That gives your real cost per page.
Our prices, for comparison
- £10, £20 or £30 a month, depending on the machine
- 0.3p per black page, 2.5p per colour page
- Toner, servicing and repairs included
- No lease, no long fixed contract and no VAT to add
Example: printing 1,000 black and 500 colour pages a month on our £20 Office plan costs £35.50 for the month. See the plans.

Choosing a supplier
What to ask any photocopier leasing company
- What will we pay in total over the whole term, including page charges?
- What do we pay per black page and per colour page?
- Is there a minimum monthly charge?
- Can prices go up during the agreement, and by how much?
- How much notice do we need to give, and does it renew automatically?
- Who repairs the machine, and how quickly do they come out?
- What does it cost to end the agreement early, or at the end of the term?
Printer leasing
Printer leasing works the same way
Office printers are leased the same way as copiers: a finance agreement for the machine and a service agreement for toner and repairs.
For one printer, a multi-year finance agreement is a lot of paperwork. Our Starter plan rents an A4 laser printer for £10 a month instead. See office printer rental.

Do you offer photocopier leases?
No. We rent machines directly: no finance company and no long fixed contract. You pay us a monthly rental plus the pages you print.
Can I get out of my copier lease early?
Usually only by paying a settlement figure, or by giving notice in the right window at the end of the term. Send us your agreement and we'll tell you your dates and options, free.
How much does it cost to lease a photocopier?
It depends on the machine, the term and the dealer, so compare the total cost over the whole term, including page charges. Our rental starts at £10 a month, plus 0.3p per black page and 2.5p per colour page.
Is renting more expensive than leasing?
Not necessarily. Compare what you pay in total each month, including page charges, minimum charges and any price rises. We'll work it out with you.
Do you cover the whole UK?
We are based in Hillingdon, West London, and deliver across England. Elsewhere in the UK, call us and we'll tell you whether we can help.
