Print management tools that come with every machine

These are built into the Konica Minolta copiers and printers we supply. We set them up for you when we install.

Account tracking: see how much each person or department prints and copies, in black and in colour
Print limits: set page limits per person or department, or switch colour off for some users
User log-in: staff log in with a PIN or password, or tap a card if you add a card reader
Print release: jobs wait on the machine until the person who sent them logs in, so nothing is left in the tray
Scanning: scan to email, to a shared folder or to a USB stick, in colour or black and white
Usage counts: page counts per user or department, so you can see where the money goes

Why it saves money

Print less without nagging anyone

When printing is tracked, people tend to print less. Forgotten jobs stop piling up in the tray, because nothing prints until someone is standing at the machine.

You also see exactly where the money goes: which department uses the most colour, and where a black-and-white default would make a difference. Confidential documents stay private too, because they only print when their owner is there.

If you want reports across several machines, quotas or print rules, we set up PaperCut. Licences are priced separately, and we'll tell you if you don't need it.

Cloud print management with no print server to look after. Secure print release, print tracking and cost reports from a web dashboard. Suits offices and smaller sites.

PaperCut MF

Runs on your own server, with detailed tracking of printing, copying and scanning, plus quotas, rules and secure release. A popular choice for schools and larger sites.

Staple finishers and booklet makers

Add a staple finisher and documents come out sorted and stapled, ready to hand out. Add a booklet maker and the machine folds and staples booklets for you: newsletters, reports, handbooks and exam papers.

Finishers are an add-on for compatible models. Tell us what you print and we'll suggest the right one.

Track printing by staff, department or pupil

Schools use print tracking to set allowances and keep colour printing under control. We set it up on our machines, and we'll check your current copier contract for free.

Is print tracking really free?

Yes. Account tracking, user log-in, print release and scanning are built into the Konica Minolta machines we supply. We set them up when we install, at no extra cost.

Do I need PaperCut?

Most small offices don't. The built-in tools cover tracking, limits and print release on each machine. PaperCut is worth it if you want reports across several machines, quotas, or you already use it.

What is the difference between PaperCut Hive and PaperCut MF?

Hive runs in the cloud, so there is no print server to look after. MF runs on your own server and gives more detailed controls, such as quotas and rules. We'll recommend the one that fits.

Can we move from PaperCut MF to Hive?

Yes. We'll help you plan the move and set PaperCut Hive up on our machines. PaperCut's own guide explains what changes: preparing to move from MF to Hive.

Can staff log in with a card?

Yes. Staff can log in with a PIN or password, or with an ID card if you add a card reader to the machine.

Can you add a staple finisher or booklet maker?

Yes, on compatible models. Tell us what you print and we'll suggest the right finisher.
